The Volume License Service Centre Tool is online

As part of an ongoing effort to improve the customer licensing experience, Microsoft recently upgraded three web sites:
* Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Centre
* Volume Licensing Contract Manager- our contract management portal
* A specific channel partner site (Explore.MS) that helps partners provide services to their customers.

In standard systems testing, we encountered an issue with the registration system, which is now fixed.  The sites came back up online early morning December 19, 2009 Australian time.   We understand that this was an inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we upgraded the system. I want to assure you we take it seriously and are committed to helping you do business with Microsoft.

Thanks,

Sarah Arnold

It’s time to re-enrol into the Microsoft Partner Network

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year, it is hard to believe that we are already ½ ways through January. I hope you all had a relaxing break with your family and friends. I took two weeks off and relaxed at Forster with my family, it rained everyday but I still managed to go to the beach.

It is going to be a busy year this year with the changes to the Microsoft Partner Network; it will also be an exciting year. I have attended my first two planning meetings for Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) and this year’s conference is looking like it is going to be a great conference. I will update you more on WPC in future blogs.

Today I would like to remind you that 80% of you are due to re-enrol in the Microsoft Partner Network between now and the end of April. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has already re-enrolled.

For those of you who have not yet re-enrolled by taking action now, you can continue to enjoy the benefits of being part of the Network. This year, these included internal use licenses for your business, networking and learning opportunities at the Australian Partner Conference, improvements to the Partner Learning Centre and access to the online technical community.

New enrolment requirements for Gold Certified Partners
Please keep in mind that, with the change to the Partner Network, we've introduced a change to the requirement of becoming a Gold Partner - specifically around the Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) Index. You'll find more information about this here.

Start now:

I think you'll really benefit from the changes throughout the coming year. To start, just click the renewal button and sign in.

Strange and Distant Times

Hi Partners,

Is Armageddon really approaching? If you are in Sydney and woke to find yourself staring at a very strange and ethereal bright orange landscape you would think so.
However, science has proven this was merely a dust storm. But wait, there’s more...

The world is changing yet again...

A scheduled Daylight Savings change in Western Australia has been CANCELLED! There will be no daylight savings in WA this year!
Ladies and gentleman, I’ll let you decide where the fate of the world rests...

Daylight Savings changes in Western Australia – prepare now!

Daylight Savings time changes can have a significant impact on business performance if not dealt with proactively. Effects can range from the incorrect time display on the clock, to calendaring problems, to changes in business critical services that are time dependent. This year, Western Australians rejected by referendum a proposal to extend their trial of daylight savings. As a result there will be no daylight savings in WA this year or for the foreseeable future. The time change was scheduled for 25 October, but will no longer occur.

We encourage customers to review their preparedness for these changes. See the Australia 2009 Daylight Saving Planning Guide.
